Ron and Joyce Hanson met as undergraduates at Stanford in the class of '59.  They married soon after and raised a family in southern California, where Ron became a successful real estate developer.  Though they loved their life on the Laguna Coast, they believed early in the potential for Rising Star Outreach.  After several years of supporting the organization as members of the Board of Directors, they decided in 2008 to move to India as the Country Managing Directors.  During their tenure, the Hansons have changed the lives of many as a result of their service.   They are loved and respected unanimously by the volunteers, staff and children of Rising Star for their uncompromising service and love.
