Sebastin was a little terror when he first came to Rising Star. We were seriously worried that he wasn’t going to be able to stay with us because he kept acting like he was going to use anything that he could find as a weapon to inflict harm. You couldn’t get through to him. It was wild. Then Sebastin's housemother decided that the only way he was going to make it is if we “love him into it.” It took some effort. We just kept asking him for hugs, and telling him we loved him, and just generally giving him as much attention as we possibly could. This did the trick! It’s been a night and day transformation. Not only is Sebastin not acting like he wants to hurt everyone, he’s become tender and sweet. He sits next to his housemother and will do anything for her. The power of love is so evident in this little boy.
