Now we’re setting our goals on education. Rising Star is building a secondary school for the children from the leprosy colonies. When it’s completed, there are no funds to furnish it. We need basic things like lights, ceiling fans (it often gets to be over 120 degrees, and there is noooo air conditioning), desks, chairs, cabinets for bookbags, teachers’ cabinets, etc. Our goal is $20,000.
Education is critical for these children to break out of the stigma that dogs their footsteps. With a good education, they can obtain realize their own dreams and become productive citizens of India, instead of the next generation of leprous beggars on the street. Please help!
